Title: Peter Carey Brown
Post by: frankle on Thursday 30 April 20 15:58 BST (UK)
Can anyone shed any light on Peter Carey Brown?
Think he was born in Middlesex to Arthur Carey Brown and Mary Meachen around between 1904 and 1918. He married someone called Pamela, but don't know when. He was still alive in the 1950's and lived in Burton Joyce Nottinghamshire. I am helping a friend trace his family tree. This person is just hiding from me. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

Have you looked for them in census 1901/1911?

Birth registration for Peter Carey Brown will confirm what year he was born to start with.

Have you checked Free BMD Index for his birth or is it elusive?

In that case he should appear on the 1939 register, have you checked for him there, with or without a wife Pamela?

I have checked all the census records and 1939 register but no sign of him.
His sister Olive Mary Brown was born in 1916 in Middlesex mother Meachen. I have checked all the Free BMD records for a Peter Brown born from 1900 to 1916 in Middlesex but no luck.
I have looked for a death in Nottinghamshire as this is the last know address, but no luck.

I can see Olive in 1939 with her parents prior to her marriage to a 'Morgan' in the Barnet registration district

It does look like the same Arthur that is married to Caroline in 1911

yes that them. No sign of Peter though.
Both Olives parents were married before.
Arthur Carey Brown to Caroline Louisa Guy. their children Arthur Carey Brown 1905. Leonard Guy Brown 1907. Louisa died in 1914
Mary Meachen was married to George Alfred Knight they had three children. Phyllis Mary Knight
1894 Arthur George Knight 1898 died 1901 Arthur Robert Knight 1903. George Alfred died in 1904.
Olive always said she was the 7th child. This means that Peter was born somewhere between 1905 and 1916. There is a chance he could have been a Knight, but can't find a Peter Knight either.
