Title: Mary Ann Nuttall formerly McDermott

I am looking for my GGrandmother Mary Ann McDermott born in Yorkshire(Leeds?Halifax? or Dewsbury?) about 1848 her Fathers name was Patrick McDermott born in Ireland, no name  for her Mother.  In1869 she married Thomas Nuttall at Bury Lancashire (got Marriege certificate) they then lived in Stubbins Ramsbottom near Bury Lancashire.  My GGrandparents had 6 children Betsy,Nancy, Robert, George/Giles (my Grandfatherwas George on the 1881 census but Giles the rest of his life)Samuel, Herbert and James.  I would appreciate any help any one can give.

hi this is my partners family mary is also his gg grandmother herbert and james thomas both died in WW1 they indeed lived in stubbins and you can see the house on google street view 35 stubbins street, stubbins its a small cottage with a white door and little side gate on the side my partner still lives close by and if you wanr any info just ask

Hi Tabs,

Thanks for the information, I was born at number 43!  Mary Anne McDermott was born in Yorkshire and as yet I have not found her birth.  Her father died in Rosendale workhouse I have his death cert as I have other certificates on the family.

I am still searching for the McDermotts but think I have found her Mothers name but until I get Mary's Birth Certificate cannot be sure that Mary Magrath was her Mother.. so many McDermotts lol.
