Title: Please can someone help, re George Blades bapt
Post by: amanda0901 on Saturday 18 April 20 18:36 BST (UK)
This is the baptism of George Blades, 6th June 1823; apparently added to the bottom of the register. I know his parents are George & Hannah Blades (my 4th Great-Grandparents) of Leavening, but the remainder of the entry is a bit of a mystery! In fact, the whole family is a bit of an enigma  ::)

I'd be really grateful if some kind person would take a look for me!

Thank you,
Amanda

Basically the entry was missed out and added later.

It reads
The above missed entering at the time but put in after having proof of the correct ? of ?

Can't read the last couple of words.

think something like
the above missed entering at the time but put in afterwards after having had satisfactory proof of the correctness of such

Ah, right, thank you! I wondered if something untoward had been added - two of his older siblings were born in Whitby in 1816 & 1818, baptised there and then baptised again at Acklam in 1821 with a new sibling!

Thank you again; it's much appreciated.
