Hello,
I read with interest your article about internees in Tintown camp no 2, and I wonder if you could help me with some family research.
My grandfather was interned in camp no 2 from February 1923 to November 1923. I believe he was released on the 15th Of November when on hunger strike.
His name was Michael Joseph O’brien. I noticed on the prison record that he was noted as Michael Brien.
I am interested to find any references to him in records, and anything you can send would be most appreciated.
With Kind regards,
John Kelly

My maternal grandfather is apparently listed there in James Carroll's autograph book. Amazing! I would love to see his signature at some point. He was a very young man, but he was interned for a year in the Curragh. Two of his children are still living.

I suggested find my past, put his name and dates because there is more than one James Carroll and record on this site and might help others looking.
