As it's quiet this fair haired 4 yo would appreciate some attention.
-
Ahhhhh:
-
Thanks Japeflakes. The hair is right on the money.
-
This handsome little chap reminds me so much of my eldest boy when he was this age. He is now a big man with a beard, who will be 60 this year.

Edit: Just saw Jim's comment about hair colour!

You only asked for a bit of color, but I gave him two or three bits. ;)

I find that hard to believe, (and earlier in the thread you admitted that you are still cute).
-
OK I'm being modest.
-
;D
-
I think I get it from him.
-
He is not as cute as you are as a little lad. :P ;D
-
Tis true I must admit.
-
Maybe you get your cuteness from the other side of the family?
-
Possibly.
-
Looks like it :-)
-
Barmaid Betty looks quite splendid.
-
Another for your growing collection.
-
Betty looks lovely. :)
-
Jim you were adorable ! Such a lovely little boy awwww.
-
Thanks Mozza29 another good one from you. I look very healthy.
Jim you were adorable ! Such a lovely little boy awwww.
The downside is that aunties wanted to kiss & cuddle me which didn't do
my street cred at nursery school any good.
It wasn't long after this was taken I escaped & caught by mom at
the bottom of our road.
-
This looks like a photo from a knitting pattern that my Mum had in the 1950s ;D
Carol
-
This was store bought, nothing but the best.
Apart from that mother couldn't knit.
She did learn eventually & I had a lovely range of balaclavas
& swimming trunks.
-
What, you mean you never had mittens attached to a cord that slotted through the sleeves of your jacket ??? My Mum used to knit for the neighbour's children and "Layettes" for new born babies...it was quite lucrative for her ;D

Take a deep breath restorers, next up will be Jim in his woolly trunks for a bit of colour :o ;D
ADDED: I meant to add what a lovely collection of restores, they are all fabulous (and yes you were cute :) )
-
:o :o I think I would rather see him in his balaclava Jool, this is a Family Forum ::) ;D
Carol
-
;D ;D ;D
-
Jim, do you have any embarrassing tales to tell about those woolly trunks? ;)
Dangerous when wet?
-
Oh my goodness how wet knitted trunks grew :o :o ;D ;D

Yes definitely made for cuddles and kisses ;D
Were you in a lot of trouble for escaping or did you give Mum a big smile and get away with it ?

Were you in a lot of trouble for escaping or did you give Mum a big smile and get away with it
It all ended in disaster.
Me & a co-escapee found the weak spot in the nursery defences & made our escape.
I made my way home but was held up at the corner shop as Mrs. Doe & Mrs. Dunn
were outside chatting & I would have been spotted.
The next thing I remember was being grabbed from behind by the enemy who was
on her way back from the shops.
I was taken home & sat on the rug in front of the fire...result.
It didn't last long as when the shopping was put away I was returned to the nursery crying like a baby (probably because I was one) where all the staff were searching for me.
My co-escapee was already in custody & was made to sit on the hot water pipe which ran along
the hall wall.
I knew what was coming next.
It was quite a pleasant feeling for about 2 mins. but soon became a bit too warm.
So sit on hands, hands get hot so sit on back of hands they get hot so back on botty & so on.
It seemed like an age but probably only lasted about 10 mins.
I was a marked man after that in more ways than one.
Re the trunks, I didn't know what embarrassing meant so running around like a cherub didn't worry me.
-
Awww poor little Jim , such an angelic looking boy. Come to Auntie Sue for a kiss and cuddle better ;D ;D
-
All these years later & I get a proper result.
