Hello. Can anyone help deciphering the fathers name on this document?
I believe the mothers name is Mary Ann Seery. Thanks

I see Byran as the first name; the capital B being a bit clearer in the informant box.

I agree with Byran and his mark

Mary is formerly NOONAN so this would be their marriage:

The same scribe by the look of the handwriting.  :)

He seems to be “Bryan” though.

I think the 1901 census may have him down as Bernard, if I am looking at the right entry  ::)

However...on his daughter Teresa's RC confirmation in 1917, he is showing as Brian  ;)

Bryan and Bernard are apparently first name variants. See www.whatsinaname.net/php/search.php?action=search2&search_name=brian

This site is the first I go to to check on first name variants. There are many name variants with Scottish/Irish first names.

Thanks very much Monica. I initially thought Bernard, then Bryan. Thanks for the info regards variations in names too. Where did you see the confirmation in 1917?

Ancestry has some RC Confirmations on their databases. There may be other entries for their other children.
