Title: Philomena Stew
Post by: isk on Saturday 07 March 20 17:44 GMT (UK)
Hello.  I am looking to find information about the family of Philomena Stew, married to James Bradley.
She was born in Bridgeton, Glasgow in 1925.  She was a twin, sister's name Audrey.  There are no entries for the name Stew in the 1911 census.  Much earlier, in the 1700s, the name Stew appears in Perthshire and then seems to disappear.  I would be obliged for any information or at least a steer in the right direction.  Thank you isk

There are two male Stews born before the twins who die before their first birthdays (1922 and 1924(. There's also a death for a Gabrielle G M Stew in Bridgeton in 1922 aged 7

There's a family who come into Glasgow from Montreal in 1921. INtended address 77 Portugal Street Glasgow

George - tinsmith age 36
Bridget - 32
Winifred - 9
Gabrielle - 7
Nellie - 2

There are possible deaths in Glasgow for Nellie (1997) and Winifred (2007) - both with mmn Higgins

Previous sailing into Glasgow in 1915

Might explain why the gap if they're all out in Canada

Hello WDTDAVIS

I have managed to exchange some private messages with Isk to make her aware of your posting, it seems that her email notifications had been going into a spam folder.

I have asked her to reply to your request 3 times but I am sorry it appears that she does not want to.

Regards

Sarah
