Title: Tracing nursing homes
Post by: worthybobs on Thursday 05 March 20 16:13 GMT (UK)
Hi. I'm trying to find a nursing home that was around in the 1960s but is no longer there, I know the street it was on but I have no idea how to get any information on it. I don't know if it was council or privately run. I think it was next to a church. Can anyone give meany pointers? I'm relatively new to family history. Thanks.

Hi,
Welcome to Rootschat :)
If you post the street and town it might be possible to find its name ie. in newspapers.

Local trade directories?  Local library or county archives might be able to help you.

I'd suggest local library to whichever town it was, especially as you know so many details, the street etc., or a quick e-mail to the local Council Offices/Town Hall?
