Hello All,
I have searched! But I still can't find any record of my GGrandfather's arrival in SA and on what ship.
He was born in Eastbourne in 1871, appears on the 1881 census as a 9 year old scholar, but not on the 1891 census.
He married a Jessie Georgina Connock in Grahamstown, SA in 1895.
I also don't have a death date for him. I know he was buried somewhere in Cape Town area before 1960.
Can anyone assist me with any of the above? Any info would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your efforts.
Kind Regards,
Peter Groenink
