Not sure if anyone can help me, if anyone has world wide ancestry.
I have a Betsy Ann Chadbond married a James Shacklady and had 6 children, James died in 1907 they lived in and what I think I have found is Betsy going to Canada with her son James and his wife called Annie Matilda Blair in 1920 I have found him and his wife in Michigin USA, where he killed his wife and her lover then himself. I have found a newspaper article giving this info.
I just cant be 100% sure I have the right person. Does anyone have worldwide to look up their arrival and departure to American please. There are also some American Census that I cant see as I only have basic Ancestry. Any help would be appreciated thanks Angela

Great thanks, yes I defo think I have the right person. I wasn't too sure as it never said he was from England. It was just because I found his mother Betsy on a passenger list that I found him. But most passenger lists are locked. Have found one in 1920 with him and Annie but not his mother on family search.
I have that article, it is a good read. He left everything to his niece, but think it would have been his wifes neice Betty Schofield. As that name has popped up a few times on her family.
thanks again

Oh thanks Sandra, that has defo confirmed it is the right people. Even though it sayd WOOD as his mothers maiden name on the death cert, it was her step fathers name, she was 5 when her mother married him. Not quite sure who the Fred and Beatrice Schofield are though. Does it say on the Detroit crossing, where the Margaret Schofield was from, I think it could be Annie's sister. I found 2 grandchildren called Frederick and Leonard Schofield on the Canada census in 1911 born in England, I found a marriage for a Margaret and Walter Beech Schofield, but cant find them going to Canada or USA.
Thanks for your help.

Mrs Fred Schofield (Beatrice) was the informant on the death cert for James.
Margaret Schofield on the 1921 census Toronto Canada states she was from Ireland described as a lodger but William was described as a nephew ???

Argh right, sorry missed that one. So that Beatrice Topping in 21 would be the Beatrice Schofield (who in the paper he left to Betty Schofield). Will have to do some more digging. I defo think Margaret would be her sister, did it say a widow or anything, as if so her husband died in the war in 1917
thanks again

Hello,
Unsure if you will see this but I believe that the gentleman who was shot that day was my Great-Grandfather.
There is a news article which mentions him and his siblings.
