Can anyone please restore this photograph and repair the damage. The people in it are unknown but the photo is nearly 100 years old so they will not be living people. The word on the bay window is Westoeand the flourish under that word is as shown in the smaller picture. Many thanks

Westoe flourish. The dot visible above the s is not part of the logo

A (much) larger scan would get a better result, but maybe this will work for you.

b&w edition :-
Not a great deal of change then

Thank you DanNC and Japeflakes.
Both of your efforts are perfect for my purposes. The lady who sent me this picture was trying to help me in a local history project. Unfortunately this was the wrong Britannia! I thought it would be a nice thank you to her (for trying to help) if I had her damaged photo reaired. The other Britannia is long gone and I didn't realise that this one still existed until I saw the modern version! Thank you both again.

Lovely picture. It's just a few doors down from my student lodgings where I first joined Ancestry and discovered, all too late, that my great-grandfather had lived in Durham!

Late try from me. :)

Thanks again to everybody. The lady who passed on the original photograph is delighted with the restoration
