Title: Gordon Highlander L / Cpl George Watson
Post by: KenSim on Friday 31 January 20 18:21 GMT (UK)
L/Cpl George Watson served in the Gordon Highlanders during WW2. He was born in Methlick Aberdeenshire in 1910 . The only facts that we have is that he was at home in Aberdeenshire in 1943 when his wife died in the April and was still there when he remarried in December of that year. It is also believed that he was a prisoner of war and worked in the salt mines in the Black forrest area of Germany. Any information or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Ken

His service record will be with the MOD and not online. You can apply for a copy, cost £30.
