Looking for the following couple in the Austrian Ukraine District of Bostu
Wasyl Petrasz(k) and Nastia (Unknown), they married and came to Canada around 1901
also a Wasyl Rewniak (not sure of spelling)came to canada around 1904 and later married a Mary Petask , daughtrer of Wasyl and Nastia. I can find them all in the 1911 Canadian census (Dauphin, Manitoba) with different family spellings. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:27FM-9WL

You must search in Ukraine not in present days Austria, which has nothing to do with that area NOW. The files still in the Ukrainian area and not at former rulers which not longer exist (Empire).
Search also at Galicia Genealogy Boards via google.

What do you mean with Bostu district? Never heard for the former Austro-Hungarian Crownland Galizien und Lodomerien (Galicia). Look if you can find it here, to clear that up (Bezirk = district): https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verwaltungsgliederung_Galiziens

Might be worth trying a search on www.genteam.eu which covers the former Austrian territories.

Thank you for the links and info. I will check these out. On the death certificate of one of their sons it states that the mother and father were both born in that district of Bostu. So the person filing out the information at the time of the death may not known how to pronounce it or spell it.
