Title: John Ferriers Ocupation
Post by: Daonnachd on Sunday 26 January 20 16:34 GMT (UK)
Hi, Please see attached.

I'd be grateful if someone could let me know what the letters following John Ferrier's name mean? Given what is written in the place in the marriage record, for the other males listed, I am assuming it his occupation.

Thank you very much. ;D

Assuming we're in Scotland, W. S. is Writer to the Signet (= solicitor).
