Are you familiar with Welshnewspapers online?

From various descriptions of the funerals in the newspapers (Rebecca Mar 1916?) and Hartley (Sep 1916) there has to be a headstone. The grave must be marked. Hartley's funeral description describes the breastplate on the coffin - I had hoped to find a mention of a headstone/monument.

Hartley's undertaker is named as Wm Williams, Myrtle House

Enoch's undertaker was Samuel Williams, Nantyrhos.

It would be worth looking to see if there's a possibiliy that the graves might be laid out in date order or roughly date order, by looking for the burials immdeiately before and after Enoch's burial (if he was the first burial in the grave).

Ideally, church burial plot records  save searching the whole graveyard - X marks the spot.. In the absence of burial plot records you have to rely on a headstone/monument and a trek around the site. The down side of this is that it is a complete waste of time if the grave is not marked. As one who has mapped several burial sites a large number of burials are left unmarked.

Checking the descriptions of the 3 people you mention, there is every chance a visit to the churchyard will pay dividends - and not turn out as a wasted journey. But, bottom line, there is no guarantee.

If the graveyard is not that large it can be worthwhile. I've had to resort to this even in graveyards where graves were meant to be marked with numbers.

The next burial immdediately after Enoch's was a Rees Price aged 29 on 27 Feb 1914, who had been living in London at the time of his death. In a newspaper obituary which describes details of his death and burial, it says Mrs Hartley Roberts was his sister.

Plot numbers exist up for what looks like start of rows and end in  with John Davies aged 62 on January 20th numbered 1863. Then there are no graves numbered until September 23rd 1927, which is R11. Later ones are marked "reserved" and some are marked as buried Tir Abad. Have you looked for any Grave inscriptions that may have been done by a Brecon Family History Soceity.

If the cemetery is on 'Find a Grave' you may be able to work out by headstones listed were it may be. Cemetery headstones are usually nearest chapel/church are older. Link is to the Calvanistic church in Llanwrtyd. https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2193774/calvinistic-methodist-church-cemetery
Found St. Davids but it is not much help. You could sign in and put in a request https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2690767/st.-david's-churchyard

Looking on Google Maps it does not look that large a cemetry and well cared for. Is there a Rootschat member living locally who could visit, transcribe if necessary and photograph? It would take me well over an hour, or I would have volunteered.

The other week, before lock-down, I drove across to the church/graveyard. It was raining, as usual. These days my walking is not as good as it used to be. I looked at some stones from around the same period, one being a Price by the gate. Because of the weather and being exposed, there has been so much erosion that it was difficult to read the details. Also, Google Street View, did not show how uneven the graveyard is, with deep, wet grass, so I did not attempt to look around. There are many column type of stones, either square or round, so several deaths could be written on one. I was intending to return when the weather was better; but now that will not be for a while. From what I saw, there seemed no grid for grave numbers, without huge effort, there will be no chance of working it out. Tir Abad seem to be graves reserved for church people.

Thank you so much for taking the time to go to the churchyard for us.I think until the vicar actually finds the plot numbers I do not think we can find the family.Because the family all died within a short time of each other we think they are all in the same plot or grave. Enoch died 1913,Rebecca died 1916 and Hartley died 1917. Its so sad really.Thankyou.
