I have the birth details for Elizabeth Maud Boshell b. 18th Dec. 1880, parents John Boshell and Susan nee Dowzard, at Charlestown Rd., Belgrave Park.
She was my grandmother's sister.
I can not find any further mention of her. I do not recall my father talking about her.
I presume she must have died, but am unable to confirm this .
Can anyone help?

Thanks for the interest!
I have checked everything mentioned.
Yes Susan did die in 1882 after birth of daughter Susan.
I don't think the family went to sea.
John Boshell died in 1887.
Dowler is incorrect.I have the marriage of Boshell and Dowzard in 1874.

A witness is Elizabeth Dowzard. Were the children raised by their mother’s family?
-
Thanks again.
To clarify.
The death of Edward aged 22. He was John and Susan's son.
I am not aware of any of the American Boshells.
Elizabeth Dowzard was Susan's sister. She was unmarried.
I have no idea if the family lived at Cork St. with the Dowzards.
In 1901 of course they would not have been children.

Elizabeth does appear to be quite elusive ???
There is this May 1897 probate for a Lizzie Boshell, beneficiary’s name Ellie Boshell - no age for Lizzie
http://www.rootschat.com/links/01ovu/
Looking for a death record there's this for 18th February 1897 shows
Elizabeth Boshell age 46 (1851) - so not your Elizabeth ???

I haven’t seen a death for John but you say he died in 1887. The children would have been young then and I thought you may know from family history if the children were boarded out or taken into an institution.
