Hi,
Looking for help on a Joseph Allmark born abt 1813 in Chester, Cheshire, England.
All i know is he married a Mary Candelon or Candelan (daughter of William) 30/10/1842 at St Oswald's in Chester, Cheshire, England.
Looking for information on his parents or any possible siblings
Thanks

Have you obtained the 1842 marriage certificate for paternal and witness details?
-
Where did they spend their married life?
-
Have you found him on the 1841 census, and, if so, who was he living with?
-
Has Mary become Mary Frith by 1851 (with a son Joseph Allmark, 7)? If so, and her husband Joseph was deceased before the 1851 census, how is his birthplace known?
-
Is this that son?
Joseph Allmark mmn Candlen
GRO Reference: 1843 June quarter in Great Boughton
-
Death of Joseph Allmark aged 32, Mar qtr 1845 Warrington?
-
Wrong age?
Death Joseph Allmark age 62 in March quarter 1850 in Great Boughton
-
This is a possible marriage, so not the later death in Great Boughton:
Marriages March quarter 1847
Mary Allmark G Boughton
Joseph Frith G Boughton
-
Joseph (shoemaker) and Mary married on 30 October 1842. His father is James Allmark shoemaker.
Mary's surname appears to be Candelan, father William labourer.
-
This James is a shoe maker, so a possible for the Father:
1841 census living at St Oswald, Chester
Registration district: Great Boughton
Piece: 130 Book: 3 Folio: 9 Page Number: 13
James Allmark 65 shoemaker local
Frances Allmark 65 local
James Allmark 9 not local
William Allmark 50 local chandler

nothing to add - but I always love these posts where someone asks a question and then goes away briefly and has their tea (or something) - returning to find their query is more than answered with lots of additional information found by the Rootschat band with the bit between their teeth (if that's not a mixed metaphor).
Well done guys. You're such stars ;) :) :)

For consideration/parked here : there is a Joseph Alcock, local, age 30, shoemaker, living in Chapel en le Frith in 1841, with a Daniel age 4 also local.
Class: HO107; Piece: 186; Book: 10; Folio: 13; Page: 20;

Crikey!
Cant be 100% certain he was born in Chester!
Mary did become Mary Frith.
Struggling to find him on the 1841 census and seems he probably died before 1847 when she married again so a short time period to look at.
Potential burial record located 06/03/1845 St Oswald, Chester, which ties in and this is where it states he was born in 1813
