Hi
I'd like some help in deciphering this Huddersfield Burial Record:
"John Bannister something something something Parish" who was buried on 6 September 1781
Thanks
Dennis

Last 2 words are probably Almondb(ur)y Parish, perhaps preceded by the name of a smaller place in that parish?
Anything here?

ADDED – maybe Thonng (or Thong) ?

Wow that was quick. I think you are right: Almondbury and before that Thong (but not Upper or Nether)
Thanks

Hi
Netherthong & Upperthong would have been known as Thong. Upperthong, Holmfirth which was in Kirkburton parish. Netherthong in Almondbury parish.

I see you've shown us the BT, from FindMyPast. The parish register is at Ancestry, and it's a bit clearer.
It gives the residence as Thong, Almy Parish.

Thanks arthurk. You're right clear as crystal
