We’ve hit a bit of a brick wall on our search.
We know our great/grandfather William Edward Thompson married a lady called Josephine Trevaskiss in Lancashire. Before he split and was with our great/grandmother Nora Letts Elliott.
We believe William and Josephine had a child together around 1935 (possibly called Joan- but this may not be the right name).
Could anybody help me search and further? We’d love to know the name of their child as this would be my grandmothers half sister :)
Many thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for your help- I didn’t realise we weren’t allowed to post names, I do apologise.
Would the first name of the daughter begin with J? Did she have the same surname as her mother or father?
Hope this doesn’t go against the rules.
Thanks ever so much

Yes that is their marriage certificate. I believe they could of separated early-mid 40s as my gran was born in 1946

Hi, Rosie!

Rosie, thank you so much for your help. It is much appreciated! My grandma will be over the moon to find out that we finally have a name- just so very sad that she’s passed away.
So expanding on this (I won’t ask for names if it’s not possible to post them), do we know if Teresa and her husband had children or not?
It’s so very interesting to find out we somehow have another family link out there- we come from a small family and most have now passed away so it’s been difficult to find the answers to our questions ☺️ Thanks again for all of your help Rosie.

Hi,
The couple you're talking about are my great-grandparents. T was my great-aunt. They also had another daughter who was my Nan. She asked me several years ago when I was looking into our family tree, not to look into her Dad. The only record I found of him was their marriage certificate, which I thought was odd. Sadly my Nan has now past but it's got me thinking more. I had heard that my great-grandparents had separated, but I didn't think they'd divorced (Catholic family). I was also led to believe that W came to live with my Nan, Grandad and Dad before he died, so may be different. All I know is the records you're showing are 100% 3 of my family members. T did pass away in the 80s, so all the info is correct.
I'd love to make contact to see if we can figure this out.
Thanks.
