Title: County Wexford Templetown Parish help
Post by: Peter Crosby on Sunday 01 December 19 23:41 GMT (UK)
Thomas Crosbie and Ann Power were married in 1836 with Thomas White and Mary Power as witnesses. I'm puzzled with the word between the names. Any ideas?

The record is in Latin and the word is ‘et’ meaning ‘and’.

Whatever it is, the same word is used on several others on the same page.

I think it might be hujus (usually written huius in classical Latin), meaning 'of this [parish]'.
