Hi I have traced back my Anglesey ancestors through patronymic naming back to a William ap Humphrey b about 1745 from Coedana.(ref, his marriage record)
I have his marriage record from the records office to an Anne Parry at Llanerchymedd. The birth of their children in Llanfihangel Tre'r Beirdd, his occupation of shoemaker and his death there.
I have been unable to find any record of his birth or baptism. Can anyone help please?
Thanks for reading.

The parish register for Coedana begins in 1813 but the bishops
transcript exists for 1685 and many but not all subsequent years.
The LDS has a copy on microfilm.
Possibly it has been scanned and is now online under access
restrictions. ie only from one of their family history centers or if
you are a member of their church.
More details are at familysearch.org. Goto Search > Catalog.

There is a William son of Humphrey Hughes and Sara Williams baptised on 9th Jan 1745 at Llandrygarn, which is not far from Coedana and Llanerchymedd. I can't see any others within five years. Details on Findmypast.

There is a 1752 bond at NLW which may relate to that couple.
