Hi,
Would anyone be able to help me with this photo? It has a rather hazy or smokey look to it, and would love to be able to see more of the details in it if possible. My great great grandfather is the gentleman on the left. I love this photo as it seems a traditional Glasgow pub scene, unsure what date it would be but Daniel lived from 1867 - 1937.
Thanks,
Keelan

Hi Keelan,
I had to use some "artistic license" to recreate the missing parts of the photo, but here's what I ended up with:
-
I would guess the 1910s - stiff high collars and the large lapels seem to be in photos of men at about this time. Also the hair styles seem about right. The apparent age looks about right to me also.
Not an expert though ;)

My try. :)
Not an expert either but I'm thinking like Wiggy - late Edwardian/pre War.

I thought it looked later, more like 1915-20s

Could you please post a copy of the back if you have it including the corners.

Thanks everyone for the great effort put in!!
I guess still some dispute about the era, the gent is wearing a pinstripe suit? Wasn't sure when they came into fashion.
-
I may be wrong, but to me the format of the photo and style of dress doesn't fit with the Edwardian era and that is why I asked for a copy of the back as it provides dating info. I suspect that it is a postcard photo.
