Been tracking my Varey. Family side. Got back to Richard Varey. B. Bradfield. 1788 d. Kendal Westmoreland.1866. Wife jane. I have them in 1841 census. Resident at tinkers lane garstang lancs. I thought Bradfield was Bradford. but its a place. Anything more would be great.

Bradfield is Sheffield isn't it?
"BRADFIELD, (or High and Low Bradfield), in the parish of Ecclesfield, upper-division of Strafforth and Tickhill, liberty of Hallamshire; 6 miles NW. of Sheffield, 9 from Penistone. No Market. Fairs, Friday fortnight before Goodfriday, June 17, and second Friday after old Michaelmas day, for horned cattle, pigs, &c. Pop. 5,298. The Church is a perpetual curacy, under Ecclesfield, of which the Vicar is Patron, value, p.r. !£124.

Can't see an 1866 death in Westmoreland for Richard. The one you are referring to was in Lancaster RD which was in Lancashire so are you sure you have the right one?
In 1851 he was 63 so birthyear 1788 or thereabouts. Birthplace Bradford
Can't find either Richard or Jane in Westmoreland in 1861

A tree on Ancestry shows his birth as 1.10.1790 in Bradford baptised 12.12.1790 St Peters Leeds. Buried at St Luke Skerton 25.4.1866
