Post by: scottphillips94 on Thursday 07 November 19 11:53 GMT (UK)
Hi, found some interesting information recently about links in my family tree too the Bonvill - De Bonville Family apparently linked to Norman Lords at Kidwelly Castle

Id love any information anyone has about this name/family as its really fresh information and I don't know where to start going back that far

start with relations you know and work backwards, one step at a time. Anything else is just guesswork.

Who is your relative with the Bonvil surname?

my 5th Great Grandfather 'William Bonnell 1790-1823'' married ''Ann Bonville 1787-1862''

her dad was Owen Bonville 1755-1798 - and his dad we think so far was Owen Bonville 1705-1784

through William Bonnell, his great grandfather (again as far as we know) was John De Bonville/ Bonvill

I was looking for more information regarding the links to kidwelly castle and the De Bonville Norman Lords ive been made aware of,
