Title: McKenzie family farr sutherland

I can trace until john mckenzie and henny mackay live in farr sutherland,they have 4 children john mckenzie born 28/11/1812, neil mckenzie born 05/03/1814, henny mckenzie born 18/021818, and Donald born 13/02/1823. I can trace  a possible Henrietta mackay born 9/06/1793 in altaburin sutherland to robert mackay and lilias mckenzie ( not sure if this is correct ?, unable to find any details of date of birth or where or parents of John McKenzie, also no date or place of marriage for john and henny, no date of death or place for either john mackenzie and henny mackay, can you please help have exhausted all avenues after 9 years, kind regards alec mackenzie

JOHN 28/11/1812, Niel 5/03/1814, HENNY 18/02/1818, DONALD 13/02/1823

However in the middle there is, it might be an error?

Have you checked Scotlands People, there are possibilities in Sutherland for John. The one that looks possible is the only son of NEIL MC KENZIE & JANET SUTHERLAND30/11/1791 Kildonan.

Very few parishes have death records in Sutherland, none in Farr prior to statutory registration in 1855.

Hi, are you still looking for info on John McKenzie and Henny McKay, married in Farr? Investigating my husband’s roots and they lead to them via their son, John McKenzie (maybe born Donald John, Farr, 1823). He married and settled in Edinburgh. Also have DNA connections to this McKay link, and believe they originate at Achnabourin/Farr.
