Dear Roots Chat,
I am wondering if anyone has any information on the above? Where i can look to see where the Turner's came from that established 'Turner Town'. I believe this is where our Turner Family originated but have yet to prove.
Any help/assistance is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you ;D ;D

I have used 2 different search engines and found no references to Turner Town - when and where is it used please?
(I have found a Thomas Turner's Town Hall, but not an entire area.)

Found a photo of "sheep at Turner's Town, near Tamlaght, Co Londonderry"?

(3rd row, last pic on right)
Also a pic of "Turner's Town"?

(bottom row, 3rd from right)
Seems to be a single dwelling?

Numerous posts by "Irish Finder" to do with Turners, Batemans, etc. Are they also your posts?
William Turner married 1867 Tamlaght O'Crilly to Melesina Bateman. Residence on marriage should be clue to his origins.

A relative in England found the above on Turners Town, which is why we are both interested to find out more to see who originally settled it. Unfortunately with the destruction of records i feel i am stuck at 1830.
Thank you all for your help, it is greatly appreciated! ;D ;D

Londonderry,
that link has timed out and one has to visit ask about Ireland and resubmit.
What exact search term will get me to the relevant article, please?

Looks like it's merely a link to Killygullib Glebe in Griffith's Valuation-

There are loads of records but not all are online.

'Looks like it's merely a link to Killygullib Glebe in Griffith's Valuation-

Does the phrase 'Turners Town' appear in there, then, or have to ferret around?

I found there remains a 'Turners Town Lane' on the map just north of the 'V" on B75 where Drumagamer Road intercepts another road (the name cut off what i have). Turners Town Lane is north of and not quite in the middle of Swatragh and Tamlaght ;D ;D

See reply #3 where I already gave map with location of Turners Town Lane.
For the 3rd time- waiting for the answer to a really simple question-

Hi Aghadowey, NO they are not my posts ;D (they have the same family). My cousin is going to drive to Turners Town Lane and around that area to see what he can find. I will post his findings on Roots Chat to help anyone researching the Turners. ;D ;D
