Hi everyone
I need some help reading these records. I think this is the marriage of Jonas Petersson and ?? in Arby in 1834 (entry #6) https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0026733_00025#?c=&m=&s=&cv=24&xywh=1751%2C1429%2C4125%2C2755 (https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0026733_00025#?c=&m=&s=&cv=24&xywh=1751%2C1429%2C4125%2C2755)
And this is the birth of their daughter Maja Stina 22 Sep 1835 (entry #29) https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0026733_00147#?c=&m=&s=&cv=146&xywh=-666%2C-2%2C7229%2C4828
but I really need some help making sure of this and also translating the entire record for both events.
Thanks for any assistance!

Hmmm based on that I have to agree. I am certain the birth is correct. I had found the family in later years in Torsås householder records but by then there was no wife listed for Jonas so I was trying to get her name. The birth of Maja Stina in Arby all fits but I have not found the family on earlier householder records in Arby. There were three children supposedly born in Arby and then the others in Torsås . The last child listed was Carl August b 16 Aug 1850. Maja Stina marries 18 Oct 1857 to Johannes Andersson. They are in Binnaretorps Torsås until Jun 1871 when they leave for the US. I need to look harder I guess....I must be missing something somewhere....
As always...thanks your eyes!! :)

It was the norm back then that they would get married in the bride's home parish:

Thanks Ian for all that. Especially the brides home parish. Got one more. This is the birth of Ingelöf's mother Anna Maria I believe. Not sure her father's name and the others http://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0028795_00198#?c=&m=&s=&cv=197&xywh=2831%2C56%2C4125%2C2755

Cheers Jean.
The father's name is Pehr Abrahamsson. No mothers name recorded.
Did you get Anna Marie's name from a household book?

Yup this one

I haven't encountered the women not having a last name recorded. That makes more of a challenge!
Thanks for the 1805!

How about the birth of Peter Påfvelsson #41? I am not seeing a mother named in there either but could be way wrong! https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0026732_00072#?c=&m=&s=&cv=71&xywh=2414%2C-140%2C4788%2C2755

No mother's name.
Interesting that Paul Jönsson's patronymic name became Påfvelsson.
