Hi there
Am looking for the Fairhurst family of Haydock and environs
Ages at 1841
Ralph 41
Alice 41
Jabez 14 (new name on me!)
Ellen 7
Lydia 9
The children were all baptised at Tontine St, Warrington, but I think were born in Haydock. As always, help much appreciated

Hi
My inbox is full, so I've posted here
Further to my message, I think John b 1804 is younger brother to my Ralph b 1800. This belief is based on the fact they are both Fairhursts from Haydock and were colliers and both had children baptised at the same day at the same church, i thought that too much of a coincidence
Ralph and John's parents
Thomas 1761 -1840 and Ellen Standish
Thomas' parents
Thomas b 1725 and Mary Denford
Thomas' parents
Peter 1688-1748 and Mary Pherhurst (or Fairhurst)
Re John's wife Ellen, she is Ellen Owen, parents Ralph and Martha nee Litherland

Hi everyone
Did you know about a mining disaster which happened in Haydock?
I stumbled on this the other day just googling 'Fairhurst haydock'
www.old-merseytimes.co.uk/haydockexplosion1878.html
The list of dead include four or five Fairhursts, I'm interested to know who they were.
We know Barnabas Fairhurst married a Pimblett and in the disaster, a Thomas Pimblett was identified by his sister Mary Ann Fairhurst.
An avenue worth exploring
