Hi
I am researching the above family who lived in Leicester from about 1910. They had three sons named Percy, Clarence and Frank.
If anyone out there can help in my search for info please contact me
regards
Mick.

What is it you are wanting to know? Looks as if there was a son called Albert and and a daughter called Beatrice as well.

Hi Alan
Thanks for the contact.
I am trying to find if any of the family had a connection to Derby at any time.

Hello and welcome to RC. I think you might need to be a bit more specific in your request. What makes you wonder about a possible Derby connection? What sort of connection -- work, marraige, moving home? What timescale are you looking at?

Hi Annie
Thank you for the welcome.
It is possible that one of the family may have had contact with my ancestors during the second world war whilst in Derby either due to work or whilst in the forces.
regards
Mick.

It looks possible that there were 4 more siblings born after the 1911 census as well.

You really need to follow them all through as best as you can using birth / marriage indexes and see who you can find on the 1939 register. Unfortunately we are not allowed to do look ups on the 1939 or give information on anyone possibly still living.

Hi Rosie
Thanks for your response.
Unfortunately there does not seem to be any records that I can access that gives me an answer to my questions.
I also believe that the brothers I listed are all dead and so it probably means that only those with knowledge of the family could help.
regards
Mick.

All the immediately available records suggest the main "action" is based in Leicester although two children were born in London. You could get the mother's maiden name from the GRO indexes which might help you.

Hi Mick and welcome to Rootschat...it sounds like your query may only be answered by living people, you could try looking here where you can search for living people:

Hi Mick,
I just came across your post. I am married to Clarence Ashton's son David. I'm not sure what you want to know. Clarence's wife Mabel grew up in Derbyshire but left well before she married. Clarence and his brother Frank both served in the army in the second world war. My husband has lost touch with his father's sibling's families but I have done a fair bit of research on the family and may still have a contact email for Percy's family in Australia. Let me know what you are trying to find out.
