Hi,
I know this is a very faded old newspaper cutting. I wondered if anyone could do anything to sharpen the image and make some of the text a bit clearer, if they can make out the wording that is.
-
It's from the front page of the Birmingham Gazette of 30 August 1916 which you can view and download from FindMyPast or the British Newspaper Archive. You could snip a clean version.
-
The same article is in the Evening Despatch of 30 August 1916 - with slightly better picture quality
-
Thanks for the replies. Do I need a subscription to Findmypast or the British Newspaper Archive to view and download?
My attempts at searching on the British Newspaper archive so far have drawn a blank.

On British Newspaper Archive you can view 3 pages for free when you register.
You want the Evening Despatch of 30 July 1916, page 3. Here is the link https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/BL/0000671/19160830/051/0003
