In case you haven't seen it, this appears to be Janet's birth in Victoria:
Janet Rae GOOD (5232 / 1864) parents - Robert GOOD and Mary Ann (MURRAY) at "SMYT" - this is either Smythes Creek or Smythesdale.
Modified to add: I see Robert GOOD mentioned in a list of electors for Smythesdale in 1864

Robert GOOD married Mariane MURRAY in Victoria 1861 (3963 / 1861)

Hi thank you for that info. is there a link to janet being in Nelson or Weillington about 1885 to 1899. i can not fine janet with violet other than violet white birth .thank you for your help

There is a 10 year old Janet Good moving on ship to NZ with father and siblings:

I wonder if Violet was born out of wedlock.
Maybe your enquiry should be on the NZ board, Paul.
Added: It is the Janet Rae family.

The mother’s death, in Victoria:
1874 6332/1874 GOOD Mary Ann parents Elizabeth PILLNE and William MURRAY at CARL spouse GOOD, Robert aged 35
Find the family in NZ and you may find Janet.

The son Robert died as Robert Ray Good, back in Victoria, in 1941.

thank you i will see how to get onto nz board

Paul, look bottom right and click on ‘Report to moderator’. Ask them to move the thread to NZ board.
Janet Ray is buried with her husband at Burwood.
I don’t know how you can prove a connection with this Janet and Violet.
Her brother Alexander died in WA, 1st column: http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article197259346
413 1902 Good Alexander aged 38 parents Robert and Murray Mary Ann Smythesdale Vic
I think her brother William Murray, who married Martha McCormack, in VIC 1895, also died in WA as per death notice. However, his military record has him younger than he should have been:

This is a tricky one Paul so we might have to 'go all around the houses' to try and find the information you are seeking.
Violet's marriage, which you have:
1904/55 Violet White Christopher Wright
Violet's children:
1905/18587 Wright Gladys Huia Violet Christopher
1904/10171 Wright Victor Joseph Violet Christopher
1908/6028 Wright Hinemoa Violet Christopher
WW1 file of her husband: [At that time Violet was living in Wellington]

-
Yes, Paul, I too wonder if the family who sailed from Victoria went to family in NZ, as it was not long after Robert’s wife died.
Also, in one of the death notices for a child of Robert, it said NZ papers please copy:

now in 1891 to1896 violet white was at newtown school wellington new zealand .but i can not fine who she was living with like mother and father.
Just to let Rootschatters know, that the above information was most likely from School Inspector Returns - year of examinations were sat. They don't list the parents names as School Records do. I am not sure if the records held at Wellington Archives will hold more information.
Cheers
