In the Huntingdonshire Marriage Index there is a marriage recorded between a William HOLMS and Elizabeth CHAPMAN in Woodhurst in 1729/30. I wonder if anyone who has access to the Woodhurst registers could look this record up and see if this couple had any children christened in Woodhurst. The reason I ask is that I am wondering if William HOLMS is actually William WOOLSTENHOLMES from Warboys. He and his wife Elizabeth have children on the Warboy's register from 1730 onwards.
Thanks
Mark

Not a direct answer to your question, but I have a Thomas Woolstenholmes in my tree (by marriage), born in Fenton in around 1819, died in Warboys in 1878.
He was also described on some records as Thomas Holmes, with Woolsten as a middle name.
So even though it's a lot later, you could be right.
Bev,
