Hi all
Been awhile since I have posted. :)
Could anyone advise if the graveyard of St Bartholomew in Newborough has available headstone pictures.
Ancestry have the parish burials but it would be wonderful to find out if headstones exist for
Sarah Stacey bur. 18 Jun 1854
child William Stacey bur. 14 Jul 1854
child William Stacey bur. 14 Mar 1851
John Johnson bur. 31 Jan 1851
child Sarah Ann bur. 12 Jul 1835
child Martha bur. 27 Apr 1845
child John bur. 11 May 1851
They were of Agricultural Labourer stock.
Not sure if they could afford headstones, hopefully they did.
Widower of Sarah Stacey, Joseph and Widow of John Johnson, Mary married mid 1850s in Newborough and shortly after, started a new life in Tasmania, Australia via the Bounty Immigration Scheme. Tragic for both parties with their losses and having to leave England, never to return. :'(
Cheers

Have you considered finding their website or facebook page and contacting them directly to see if they can help you?

Hi Rosalie, as chempat says contacting them directly is the way to go.
I contacted Peterborough Crematorium to see if they had any information on Churchyards
in that area. They do not cover Newborough and suggested contacting the Church directly.
Newborough Church does have a website and you can email them from there.
