Can someone help.
I have problems researching my Great Uncle Joseph Beaver
He can be found in 1891 Census and Family Search has his baptism 24 April 1889, Linchmere, Sussex.
I cannot find his birth or death in any of the register indexes.
He is also cannot be found in 1901 or 1911 census - could he have gone abroad.

Who were his parents - and were they married to one another when he was born?
Have you checked alternate spellings of the surname?
Did he have siblings, and if so were their births registered?

Here is that baptism

Is this 1891 you refer to

Joseph b Haslemere, Surrey
-
Haslemere should register in Hambledon at that time.
Parents: (Henry) William Beaver and Ellen/Eleanor Matilda Langridge, per online tree - which does not show a marriage for them.
-
Other births which may be relevant:
Silas John Beevor mmn Langridge, Jun qtr 1891 Horsham
Henry Beaver mmn Langridge, Dec qtr 1893 Marylebone
Edward Albert Beaver mmn Langridge, Mar qtr 1896 Hastings
-
Baptism of Henry at St Mark, Marylebone Rd:
Henry Beaver b 11 Nov 1893 & bapt 16 Nov 1893.
Parents: William (stone mason) and Ellen, of Rainier St, Notting Hill.

Presumably, you have the rest of the family in records, is it just Joseph who is the mystery?

Here is the baptism again - William and Ellen described as ‘Vagrants’ which may account for the missing birth record.

Hi Heywood
Thank you for the link for Joseph's baptism
I have all the information on Joseph's siblings.
As I cannot find a marriage for his parents, I suspect Ellen was already married and Langridge was her married name.
Not of the family appear on 1901 or 1911 census

Have you traced James Langridge, who is with them in 1891?

Please can you share what more you know? It is hard to help you fill in the gaps otherwise. What happened to the rest of the family is very relevant to the search for what happened to Joseph. So:
(Henry) William Beaver - any sightings after the 1896 son in Hastings? Death reg?
Ellen Matilda Beaver/Langridge - any sightings after the 1896 son in Hastings? Death reg?
Silas John “Beevor” b 1891 Horsham - what happened to him?
Henry Beaver b 1893 Marylebone - ended up in Sheffield by 1939 I think. Anything sooner?
Edward Albert Beaver b 1896 Hastings (aka Albert Edward) - married in Sheffield in 1916. Does the marriage certificate show any family as witnesses? What does it say about his father?
James Langridge b abt 1876 Eastbourne - any sightings before or after 1891?
