Thank you for the information on John Fasham and family on the census. That is the right family.  I have all I need for the moment on John other than his marriage in 1842 in Southampton. Was hoping it might be available on the parish register. Want to make sure he was a bachelor when he married Emma Bull.
I appreciate your reply.

It's possible the marriage took place in All Saints Parish, Southampton, where the BULL family were resident in 1841, which could narrow the search significantly: otherwise it's an enormous task in such a vast area with loads of parish churches, not forgetting the possibility of a civil marriage for a man in the armed services facing an imminent posting.  As John appears to have been in Co. Cork in June 1841, for the period it appears to have been a relatively short courtship.
I rarely visit HRO these days but a regular might be inclined to take up the challenge in the microfiche of the All Saints Parish Register?

Thank you Dee-Jay, you are right! It might be better if I go ahead and order the certificate, it will be good to confirm other details as well.
I appreciate your help.

Did you ever discover if John Fasham was a batchelor when he married Emma Bull. ?  This is something we are also questioning .  Working on a tree for descendants of one of the sons of John Fasham and Charlotte Constable .

Hi Warby,
No, I'm afraid I haven't.  Must admit I've been so busy with other research, I haven't gone back to the marriage.

I do have a little on James BULL and his wife Frances DODINGTON, as well as information on George William FASHAM and his wife Sarah Elizabeth KENDALL and four children, and some info on Alfred FASHAM and his wife Elizabeth Hannah BUSBRIDGE and nine children.  If I can be of any help on these lines, please let me know.
