Hi,
I am trying to find a marriage record for Thomas Cautley Newby, 'scamp' of a publisher to Emily and Anne Bronte.
It is possible he was married to Ann Elizabeth nee Craig - the dates of birth of their several children indicate that the marriage may have taken place c.1820/21.
Thomas was brought up in Cambridge, but the marriage may have taken place elsewhere.
I have trawled Ancestry and IGI without success.
Many thanks for any help :)

The SOG has a transcript of a Faculty Office Marriage Licence for a marriage between a Thom's C Newby and Ann Eliz'th Craig on 6 July 1820.
No other details given.

Yes -- this marriage record is on Find My Past (brief transcript only) -- apparantly you can order copies of the Licence from the Society of Genealogists for £15.00 via a link on Find My Past.
