Hi I wonder if anyone can help, I recently visited Harehills Cemetery where I have 4 relatives buried, sadly my memory failed me and after 4 hours of searching I gave up.
I have searched online to try an find the records of burials at Harehills but I’m coming up empty
I’m looking for my Gran Mary McQuillan born Dec 1921 died Dec 1981
My grandad Michael Joseph McQuillan born sept 1917 died April 1967
My uncle Richard Albert McQuillan born may 1947 died Nov 1963
And lastly my uncle Edward Joseph McQuillan born dec 1940 died jan 2009
If anyone can help point me in the right direction I’ll happily search again
Thank you for any assistance

Welcome to Rootschat
Have you contacted the cemetary office as info for the period you are looking at is not available online. They should be able to give you the grave number/numbers and a map of the cemetary to help you find them. If you have their exact death dates it will help them
Are you sure they all have headstones?
Edward died 7.1.2009
I have asked the moderator to move your post to the Yorkshire board

For Harehills I would definitely look at Yorkshire Indexers;
http://www.yorkshireindexers.info/forum/db/dbonline.php?tabid=40
They do look to have the records for Harehills although I think you need to subscribe for a small fee to be able to see it. I'm not subscribed at the moment or I'd look for you. They are very good for the Leeds cemeteries.

Actually I have managed to log in to Yorkshire Indexers and can see that burials of Mary, Richard Albert and Michael Joseph are on there. What information are you hoping for? The records on there just give the date of burial and grave location.

Hi, that’s awesome, I couldn’t register as it kept coming back with a server error message.
I would really appreciate it if you could let me know the plot numbers.
That would be amazing, I can get the other info another time, but while I’m still here in Leeds I’d like to try an visit.
Thank you so much you have no idea how much it would mean to me xx

Thank you very much for taking the time to look, much appreciated 🙂

Following on from Brian's post there is a headstone on Grave C1 37 and G4 100 both bear the McQuillan names.
There does not appear to be a headstone on grave G10 222.
I've PM'ed you MrsA
Regards, Ian

There used to be, I have a photograph of it from my last visit, but it’s on my laptop st home 300+ miles away.
That also would explain why I couldn’t find my gran. Thank you that makes sense now.

Hello MrsA
Edward Joseph may yet be in the cemetery, it's just that the transcribed registers seem to stop in the late 80's. It may be worth doing a Carole suggests and contact the Leeds Bereavement Services.

Thank you for your reply, I visited today and found everyone I was looking for, even Edward, he’s in section L next to a lady who died the day after he did, he doesn’t have a headstone but I’m happy that the space is him.
Thanks again
