Hello everyone,
I have bought a number of BMD Certificates that are most definitely of persons that are not part of my family.
I am quite willing to send them to persons who believe they are part of theirs.
Is there any way of facilitating this on this site.
There are a few UK ones and one Irish BMD.
Thank you,
Claire

Is the Irish one online yet? if so, no need to pass it on unless you happen to stumble across a relative of that person. Note: they are in the process of adding more to the site.

I think you can add notes to FreeBMD for English & Welsh ones but I'm sure someone else will be able to confirm or correct that.

There is a whole board for unwanted certificates here on Rootschat.

Good idea to post there also, goldie61, but FreeBMD might have wider audience.

Fantastic!
Thank you,

Some of us on here post the details from all of our certificates on freebmd as a postem. As aghadowey mentions it reaches a wider audience.

can anyone explain to me how you do that.
I have a LOT of BMDs...
They might be of help to someone.

Find the entry on freebmd that relates to the certificate you have - click the spectacles logo alongside it.
That opens a page 'Entry information' .
A few lines down on the left hand side it has -
You may add a postem to this entry

Brilliant to have someone else who creates postems on freebmd.org. Although I have done so for all my certificates, sadly I have never found a postem which saved me buying one, but I am sure I have saved a few others the expense.
