Can anyone identify this uniform. Not sure if its relevant but my ancestor served in the Second Boer War as a Master Butcher.

Thank you so much Daisy for this information. According to his service records my second great uncle Henry Purser did indeed serve in Malta between April 1903 - February 1908 as Stff. Sgt. I am so grateful for this information because I was not sure if the picture was him and I was not successful in finding out more. Do you know of any other Freemason records I could search.?
