Where does the Pallavaram death reference come from?  I can see that he died of cholera and was buried the same day at Bankipore - but that is 2000km from Pallavaram.

He was a government telegraph department employee per the burial register.

Hi there ShaunJ,
The Pallaveram reference comes from the family by word-of-mouth.
Bankipore comes from an Ancestry site; as does the Bankipore reference; Madras appears to be a consistent aspect of the conversation in both instances.
It would be illogical to be buried 2000km away from where one is supposed to have died; agreed.
You refer to a burial register. Do you have a copy of the document. That would be useful as a starter in building up validated data.
Many thanks thus far.

The burial register images can be viewed at the British Library. Also on FindMyPast.
