I have an ancestor, Jane Smith nee Roberts who was born 1807 at Brynheilyn, Pentrefoelas. The Roberts family moved to Cheshire and by the early 1830's Jane and most of her siblings are living in Manchester whilst the parents,Robert and Margery are living in Chester. Jane is widowed in 1844, I cant find her in 1851 but on the 1861 census she is living with her brother Hugh,a widower, and a spinster sister in Manchester. Jane died on the 7th of August 1861 at Pantdu,Trefriw. She is buried in Manchester and the burial record shows the place of death. So, given that Trefriw and Pentrefoelas are fairly close, would you say that its likely that she was stayting with a relative at the time of her death? I'm in the process of researching the family of the 1861 occupant of Pant Du, Jane Williams nee Owens to try and find a link but would appreciate the thoughts of others. Many thanks

Getting the death certificate for her might help further, name of informant etc
Did she have children she may have been living with in 1851?

Yes, getting the death cert will be my next action. She did have a son but she's not with him in 1851.
