"www clwydsurnames org uk"
Is anyone having problems with this site. For a few days I get a message . This page can’t be displayed. Tried a different search engine but still no luck.
-
It was fine a week ago but now I can't get a connection. I get the timed out message.
-
I can't get it to come up at all at the moment so I guess there's a problem with the site.

So, until it gets sorted, is there anything that you need specifically, wilcoxon?
-
Yes, I`m hoping that a Rebecca Watson might show up on the 1841 town census. Jill puts the names at the end of the surname lists if they are there .
I`m interested in who was at Wynnstay Place, 1 King Street.
Thanks.
-
I've got the Wrexham 1841booklet so will pop upstairs and have a look.
-
Only Watson showing is a George but not in King Street.
No separate house addresses/names in King street . Was it a School?

Here's a Nov 2018 snapshot of the site at the Internet Archive:

Rebecca died in King Street. Will send the cert.

Thanks very much, school info is very useful
-
I've made a few corrections to some spelling mistakes in the surnames - I was watching the cricket at the same time :-X
-
Oh... still not working as of today 23rd August. Boo-hoo really handy tool for finding local info :-(
Is it lost forever?? Who created it??
Fingers crossed it comes back :-)

Creator was Jill Rose. An email address is on the snapshot link in the earlier reply by Rattus

I think it would be wise to ask Jill if the site will continue.
However, the OP wanted to use the listing to find out about the Wrexham Town 1841 index (the original census books for Wrexham was lost). I have given Wilcoxon the details as I have the index that was referred to in the original post.

I don't very often use Jill's site as I purchased all the Clwyd FH booklets that I needed years ago, and FindMyPast now has a greater coverage.

I've just noticed that the site is still offline so, if anyone wants to struggle with searching it on The Wayback machine, here's the link:

Jill Rose has said:
"Unfortunately my website clwydsurnames.org.uk is not operational at the moment but am hoping to get it functioning again soon."
Jill is a member of our local FHS.

Jill is a member of our local FHS.
So are quite a few of us.
The site has been down for about 2-3 months now. I gave a link to one way of getting info in the meantime.
-
Hard to tell when so many members use a pseudonym on here ;)
-
Most of us would be Roberts or Jones or Hughes ;D
I see that the link I put up is not working - so here's the one that Rattus gave earlier:

I`m having this now on using the link. it was fine a couple of days ago.

I've tried and clicked o nD and get the listing. What browser are you using? It could be one of those security checks that gave problems on this site a while ago.
Maybe you could try PMing Jill. She's a member of RC.
Add - I've checked Jill's profile and find that she's not been on since April. I hope she is OK :-\
-
I'm getting some of them up but not all.
Possibly the Wayback Machine didn't capture all of them.
