Is anybody here familiar with the Finnish Records and updates.
My reason for asking is that I'm looking for a person born 1908 and who is not living. I know there is a 100 year privacy rule in place regarding what information can be viewed online. But was wondering as the years go on if more and more records are able to be viewed? Because the 100 year rule has lapsed.
Many thanks

Myheritage has the "Finland Church Census and Pre-Confirmation Books, 1657-1915" and I can see some 1908 and 1909 births. If you give the person's name I could have a look for you

Sorry for being late in my replies..Had unexpectedly busy two days!
Thanks Jamcat. I had come across that forum before but it was so long since I looked at Finnish records. I was able to get a few links to other useful sites.
Tree spirit Thanks for offering but I had looked at that site before and the person I'm looking for definitely isn't on it.
I guess I was looking for an update as to how things are in Finland with regard to further records being available online. Apologies I should have been more specific in my opening post.
Thanks to Jamcat posting a link to the Finlander forum I have a few more sites to visit . I will report back!
