Can you tell us where you found this place name eg was it a census address, or an address on a certificate?

The date of the event might help too as place names can change over the decades/centuries.

Do you have any further information? :)

This might help - from History, Directory and Gazeteer, of the County Palatine of Lancaster - Edward Baines and William Parson.

I found it on Google Books

The name of Tithebarn-fold indicates the situation of the building set aside for the storing of the tithes paid in kind, and the designation of Priest-hill points out the particular place of abode of one or more of the early incumbents.

Maybe in the parish of St.Mary according to this death record.
Burial: 11 May 1735 St Mary, Oldham, Lancs.
Elizabeth Dolton - Wife of Benj. Dolton
    Abode: Tithe barn fold

Maybe on these maps...

ADDED
There are at least 6 "Folds" on these maps but I can't see Tithebarn Fold, perhaps some sharper eye's may find it.

The texts show that it is in King Street/ George Street area. I thought Priest Hill was the present Henshaw Street which is above these addresses in the town centre a bit further away.

I would think that the present Barn Street - running from George Street to King Street (the Police Station is there) is a clue.

1848 map on Old Maps shows Barn Fold where Barn Street is now.

Barn Fold  is clearer on the 1892 Town Plan

Change the zoom as necessary

Thanks Stan. I saw that later but then it disappears from the maps, I think. It might have been Tithe Barn Fold earlier than 1840s but many maps do not show that area clearly.
