Post by: cullen on Tuesday 13 August 19 19:31 BST (UK)
Hi
Anyone out there researching the surname Seedwell/Sedwell?
I have been asked to look into this name for a friend, mainly Chesham area [it also ties into my maternal family of Glenister]

Thank you

There are some public trees on ancestry who have Sedwells in Chesham. One of them has a Joseph Glenister who married Elizabeth Phyllis Sedwell born 1889. No other information for Joseph other than he married Elizabeth in 1923.

Thank you for your replies, sadly there are no Seedwell/sedwells in the surname interests and I hope to check the ancestry trees in the next few days.

There's a John Sedwell, servant, and Thomas Sedwell, constable, in Latimer in 1798.

Since it borders Herts I looked in Herts names. This is probably the marriage of Thomas:

Thomas Sedwell of Latimer & Ann Barns, in Bovingdon, marriage register, 29 Nov 1779
