Title: Sophia Anderson Denmark

Hi, trying to find information about Sophia Anderson, born around 1861 in Denmark. She emigrated to New Zealand around 1892, and according to her marriage record her parents were Peter/Peder Anderson, a farmer, and Annie Olsen. I haven’t been able to find any records prior to her marriage in 1894 to Thomas Henry Ashton.
Any help appreciated.

The surname Anderson may have been chosen to give all of the family the same name when they settled in New Zealand. Try looking for her using patronymics. She may have been Sophia Pedersdatter or Sophia Pedersen.
