Title: Military records Black Watch Regiment

I have just been told that my father was a Sargeant Major in the Black Watch Regiment
which I knew nothing about
How can I trace this - I have no army details just his name and date of birth

You will have to apply to the MOD for his records, you will need his date of birth and a death certificate, provided you have those his serve number is not necessary. How to apply is on the website.

You could also ask the Black Watch Museum, which is in Balhousie Castle in Perth.
