Hello,
I am needing help to find a Erik Peder Karslen or Carlsen ,born 1 Jan 1893 in Skads Tonder Denmark.
confirmed in 1908, Skads, Parents are Karl Karlsen born 4 Nov 1857,Holje, Blekinge, Sweden - parents are Karl Ericsson and Hanna Jockumsdatter. Karl married Botilde Marie Olesen 1887 in Skads.
both died in 1930. Skads Denmark.
Erik is not heard of since 1908 entry, we have been told that the Sweden family came down to look after the grave in Skads, I often wonder if Erik went their after his parents died in 1930. Could his name be Erick, or he may have used his second name. Since this is his grandfather's part of his surname?
any help and ideas would be very helpful. Thank you, pcjr.

Hi
I haven't been able to find any info for Erik Peder unfortunately. I did take a look at the records though which didn't help. He may well have changed his name but most likely kept Erik.
I'll post them even though you most likely have them:
Erik Peder's birth:

Erik's confirmation:

Karl and Bothilde's marriage:

Karl's birth in Jämshögs Parish, Sweden:

Hi Ian,
Many thanks for the info, yes I did have all the links, last known address was Skads being confirmed in 1908, outside that he seems to have fallen of the face of the earth, He does not appear on the 1921-1925 census for Skads, and as he was the only child still living, I find it quite hard to believe that he would have left his parents, they died in 1930. Have searched the church books for that time frame and up to 1944 deaths but no mention of Erik, have even done the marriage ones, still nothing.
Was their a military roll book at that time?
