I'm looking for the details of the marriage entry of Joseph ROADNIGHT who married Sarah RICHARDSON on 5th November 1829 in Leighton Buzzard. I can only find the marriage on Familysearch, I would like to know whether the marriage entry states where Joseph Roadknight was from. I have an inkling he was from Warwickshire but as yet can't find any proof.
Many thanks,
Judy

His banns were read in Linslade.

Is this not him in the 1851 and 1871 censuses, born Linslade?

Yes, it is the same Joseph. I'm wondering however if he is "my" Joseph born 1807 in Southam, Warwickshire. I know he gave his place of birth as Linslade on the 1851 and 1861 census but on the 1841 he was born "out of county". I think what I need to check now is whether there was a Joseph baptised around 1807 in Linslade.
Thanks,
Judy

Linslade was in Buckinghamshire back then so that would have been out of county for a resident of Leighton Buzzard.

I'm now ruling out Joseph Roadknight if Linslade, Buckinghamshire being the one from Southam, I've found a will in the 1840's of a William Roadknight of Linslade who names his son Joseph in the will. My Joseph was the s/o Thomas. Back to the drawing board.....
Thanks for your help ShaunJ,
Judy
