For Samuel NANCARROW I can find no baptisms in Phillack but there are two possible baptisms in Gwinear (4 miles from Phillack):
23 Aug 1805, Samuel NANCARROW son of Samuel & Anne
26 Apr 1806, Samuel NANCARROW son of George & Mary

I couldn't see any burials around Gwinear or Phillack for a young Samuel, so I don't know if either of these are your man or how to determine which one.  Either of them could be the right sort of age for the 1849 burial found by osprey.

the birth registrations for Margaret in 1841 and Samuel in 1854 have a mmn that is a variation of Chegwin/Chirgwen so marriage in Phillack 30 Sept 1826 for Samuel Nekerro sojourner and Jane Chegwin, both marked, witness George Chirgwin signed, other witness signed all the marriage on that page so possibly the parish clerk.

thanks  to everyone,if Jane was with them in Brotton in 1871 maybe i should broaden my search for her death,i thought that she had died in Cornwall but it is looking like this is not the case

Re the marriage found by Osprey, Jane Chegwin was baptised in Phillack on 13 December 1807, daughter of Edward Chegwin/Chergwin and Elizabeth (possibly Wearne married in Phillack in 1789).

George, the witness at the marriage was probably her brother who was baptised on 2nd December 1804.

Mary Nancarrow baptised 1830 - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-XK5S-G9P?i=208&cc=1769414

This would probably mean that Jane became Lyons after Samuel died but I can't find a marriage.

me neither. There could be another marriage in between though.

She's not the Jane who married june qtr 1853 Truro - Jane Saunders b. 1813 Meneage in 1861

or Redruth dec qtr 1854 married William Wyndom - b. 1827 Illogan in 1861

or march qtr 1861 Truro - to Thomas Broad, 1864 birth registered surname Broad & mmn Nancarrow

or june qtr 1865 Portsea - daughter of Charles Nancarrow

or march qtr 1866 Truro aged 21 daughter of James Nancarrow

or june qtr 1868 Settle - aged 22 married Thomas Bullock

So married under a name variant or mistrancribed or didn't marry the Mr Lyons who had died before the 1871 census. Finding the family in 1861 census might help but they're being evasive.
